Moving Prep 101

What When?

Have you come up with a plan of how you are going to carry out your move?

We did  our plan this week after looking at houses in the new area where we plan to live. We've picked a date we would like to be there and a date we would like to move into a new house.

Which house we've not sure yet, but we will be moving to the new location. Now we know when. If the house is not available yet we've decided to rent an apartment by the month until it is.

Once we know which house and the date we can move into it then we can arrange for our furniture to be moved.

Here are some basic questions to answer before your move.

1. When do you want to move?
2. Where will you live?
3. Where will you live if your first choice is not available when you want it?
4. When do the kids need to start school?
5. What school will they be in?
6. When will you move your furniture?

Answering these questions can give you a framework to plan the rest of your preparations.

Write all your choices on a calendar in PENCIL. You may have to change your plans.
Remember we are to make plans, but God directs our steps.
